Who we are
Summit English is not a typical "cram school." We believe that students can learn effectively while having fun at the same time. Requirements
- someone who loves to learn, fun and energetic, with a positive mindset
- 2 years teaching an American based curriculum
- strong classroom management skills
- excellent reading and writing skills, ability to analyze and think critically
- F- 4, F-5 with a 3- 4 year university degree in liberal arts majors from Native English speaking countries
- Native Koreans with English fluency are also welcomed
- have paperwork ready to submit (Apostilled FBI background check, apostilled degree, etc)
- computer literary (Microsoft Word, Power point, etc)

Preferred but not required
- Teaching Certification
- English literature, humanity, psychology, early childhood education teaching experience is preferred
- Tesol or TEFL certificate holders
- Planning on staying in Korea for at least 2 years
- Previous school teachers in English speaking countries

- experience teaching younger children well a plus! (kindergarten - 3rd grade)


Job Description 
- Full Time Position available start date June (training starts in May)
- Teach multiple subjects (literature, grammar, writing, novel)
- be able to teach from 1st to 6th grade
- Update parents about their child’s progress (speaking Korean is necessary)
- Two week paid training ( Depending on your experience, training schedule is flexible. )
- Hours of operation MTRF: 1:00 - 9:30 pm, W:12:00 - 8:30

 

Salary
- Pay Range: Up to 4.0+ million won (based on experience and qualifications)
- those with official teaching certification will be offered a higher salary bracket

- No housing is available but we may help you find accommodation upon request
- National holidays off (red letter days)
- No Saturday classes (There are a few mandatory Saturday events in the year)
