*This role will be hired in for a full-time logistical phase in the 2024-2025 academic year.  The Ansan Campus will open for the 2025-2026 school year.*

Saint Paul American Scholars (SPAS) is a growing K-12 school that is designed to help teach young people to become responsible citizens and prepare students for college. That means that they must learn the key attributes of ethical behavior including courage, compassion, integrity, justice, truth, reason, fairness, respect, and honesty in addition to the core academic subjects.

This requires a safe environment for all who work in and attend SPAS along with an emphasis on citizenship and adherence to rules applied equitably and fairly to all in the Saint Paul Scholars community. We believe that parents are essential partners in the educational process and must be properly involved and accountable for the achievement and behavior of their children.

 

Saint Paul American Scholars is seeking a qualified and experienced administrator, or aspiring administrator, to fill the role of a Vice Principal for the upcoming SPAS Ansan campus.  This candidate will work with our Head of School, General Manager and School Principal to plan, organize, and implement the steps necessary to open the upcoming Ansan Campus.   The first year of this role will be mainly logistical working from our Budang campus offices.  As construction completes at the Ansan location, the Ansan VP will be required to learn the SPAS systems, attend conferences, and plan a fully implementable program for the 2025-2026 school year.  A second phase will follow which will involve hiring in a team of administrative support and teachers. A strong Vice Principal candidate will be detailed oriented, have both long-range and short-range planning abilities, excellent public speaking skills, familiarity with structures needed for administrative and educational support in mid-sized schools, and have experience with new projects and new initiatives in previous roles. 

 

We will be starting interviews as we receive candidates for interviews in-person for candidates located in South Korea.  We will interview candidates aboard who have excellent potential to fill this role. We will close the position once it is filled. 

  • SPAS is looking for energetic candidates with previous experience in administration - candidates with no previous school operation experience will not be considered for this role

  • Candidates who have utilized educational data in decision making are preferred (MAP/SR/AR/WIDA etc.)

  • We are considering candidates with administrative degrees

  • Candidates who provide letters of recommendation from former or current employers will have the strongest consideration 

  • All candidates must have an understanding of Social-Emotional Learning and a holistic view of students.  

  • Candidates must have strong organizational abilities, understand how to use Google platforms, and be comfortable with electronic LMS platforms

Requirements

• Have a minimum of a master's degree from an accredited institution 

• Hold an E7, F-4 or other F visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship or Korean citizenship

• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check

• Minimum of 2 years of experience

• Major: Administration, Education Administration, Education Leadership, Curriculum Design , etc.  

 

Working Conditions

• Student Age: Elementary School

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:40 A.M. - 4:40 P.M.

Competitive and based on a salary scale contingent on years of experience, degrees, and certificates
