About Seoul Academy Seoul Academy - Daechi is an accredited Grades 1-8 school in Seoul's Daechi neighborhood, delivering a rigorous U.S.-based curriculum that prepares students to thrive in a global society. Position Overview Seoul Academy - Daechi is currently seeking qualified candidates for a number of positions for the 2026-2027 school year. Key Responsibilities While responsibilities vary by role, all positions at Seoul Academy share the following core expectations: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction appropriate to the subject and grade level., Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive, timely feedback. Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and subject ares to support school-wide goals. Communicate proactively and professionally with students, parents, and staff. We deliver a rigorous, U.S.-based curriculum that prepares students to thrive in a global society. Out faculty creates a supportive, challenging environment where students think critically, collaborate, and grow as responsible global citizens. We are seeking a skilled educator to join our Elementary School team. Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, creative Elementary P.E. Teacher to build lifelong habits of physical activity and healthy living. You will design and deliver a dynamic P.E. program for students in Grades 1-5, with age-appropriate activities that develop fundamental motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while ensuring every child feels included and successful. Key Responsibilities Instruction: Plan and implement a sequential, standards-based physical education curriculum for grades 1-5 that develops physical literacy and foundational skills. Differentiation: Adapt activities, games, and equipment to accommodate to meet varied abilities and learning needs. Learning Environment: Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages sportsmanship, cooperation, and active participation. Assessment: Assess motor skills, fitness concepts, and sportsmanship using appropriate methods and provide constructive feedback. Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers and other specialists to support cross-curricular learning and contribute to school-wide events like our annual Sports Day. Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and the P.E. program. Resource Management: Manage and maintain all physical education equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and organized environment for all activities. Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree (any field) Native-level or near-native level English proficiency Valid visa (F2, F4, F5, F6) or Korean citizenship (Note: Visa sponsorship is not available) Strong classroom management and communication skills A passion for or knowledge of various sports and physical activities Clear criminal background check Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field Master’s degree in Education or a related field Valid teaching certification (from the U.S., Canada, or Korea) At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in elementary physical education Current CPR/First Aid certification Experience organizing school-wide athletic or wellness events Compensation and Benefits Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and credentials. Enrollment in the Korean National Health Insurance and National Pension plans. Severance pay provided upon completion of a one-year contract. 6 weeks of paid vacation (increases to 8 weeks after one year of service) in addition to all national holidays. Daily lunch provided.
