MS Debate Instructor (Part-Time) -- SY 2026-2027 Seoul Academy - Daechi 16, Samseong-ro 64-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 06191 About Seoul Academy Seoul Academy - Daechi is a U.S.-accredited Grades 1-8 school in Seoul's Daechi neighborhood, delivering a rigorous U.S.-based curriculum that prepares students to thrive in a global society. Position Overview Seoul Academy - Daechi is seeking a qualified part-time Debate Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year. Grade Level: Middle School (Grades 6-8) Sessions: 6 periods per week, 50 minutes per period Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging debate instruction appropriate to middle school grade levels Develop students' argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking skills Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners Maintain a structured, positive, and academically focused classroom environment Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback Communicate proactively and professionally with school administration regarding student progress and classroom matters Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree (any field) Native-level or near-native English proficiency Valid F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean citizenship (visa sponsorship is not available) Strong communication skills and ability to manage a classroom independently Clear criminal background check Preferred: Background or formal training in debate, speech, rhetoric, or a related field Prior experience teaching or coaching debate at the middle or high school level Teaching certification or education background (not required) Compensation Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience Payment issued monthly for sessions completed that month How to Apply Email recruit@seoulacademy.org with the subject line: "MS Debate Instructor Application" Please include: Cover Letter and CV/Resume -- including relevant experience and at least one professional reference Letter of Recommendation from a recent direct supervisor (e.g., principal, department head, or manager) Recent professional headshot Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The Role We are seeking an energetic, creative PE Teacher to design and deliver a dynamic, standards-based physical education program for Grades 1-8. The ideal candidate builds age-appropriate activities that develop motor skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensure every student feels included and successful.
