About Seoul Academy

Seoul Academy - Daechi is an accredited Grades 1-8 school in Seoul's Daechi neighborhood, delivering a rigorous U.S.-based curriculum that prepares students to thrive in a global society. Position Overview

Seoul Academy - Daechi is currently seeking qualified candidates for a number of positions for the 2026-2027 school year. We welcome applications from passionate, dedicated educators and staff who are committed to academic excellence and the growth of our school community.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

• English - Language Arts  - Full-time
• Science - Full-time

School-wide (Grades 1-8)

• Computer / Technology - Full-time
• School Counselor (SEL-focused) - Full-time
• Physical Education - Full-time

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction appropriate to the subject and grade level.,
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive, timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and subject ares to support school-wide goals.
• Communicate proactively and professionally with students, parents, and staff.
• Manage classroom materials and shared resources responsibly.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree (any field)
• Native-level or near-native English proficiency
• Valid visa (F2, F4, F5, F6) or Korean citizenship (Note: Visa sponsorship is not available)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Clear criminal background check

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification 
• Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching or professional experience
• Subject-specific qualifications as applicable to the role

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience
• Enrollment in Korean National Health Insurance and National Pension
• Severance pay upon completion of a one-year contract
• 6 weeks paid vacation, increasing to 8 weeks after one year of service, plus all national holidays
• Daily lunch provided
• Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
