Position Name: Academic Director & EdTech

Main Responsibilities
● Provide academic leadership to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning and support the school’s academic standards, goals, and educational mission.
● Oversee the development, implementation, review, and evaluation of curriculum, academic programs, and educational resources to ensure alignment with educational standards, guidelines, and best practices.
● Conduct internal curriculum reviews to ensure academic content remains current, relevant, and effective, and support the development of new academic programs as needed.
● Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to review educational trends, student outcomes, and areas for academic improvement.
● Guide and support teachers in curriculum planning, instructional methods, learning materials, classroom management, and the development of effective learning plans.
● Oversee academic processes related to student performance and records, including report cards, attendance records, and other academic documentation.
● Develop and coordinate semester schedules, including class offerings and teaching assignments.
● Promote a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning and support high-quality, fair, and inclusive educational experiences for all students.
● Lead and support the effective integration of educational technology into teaching, learning, and academic administration.
● Support teachers and staff in the effective use of educational technology, digital learning platforms, Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other school technology tools.
● Provide basic technical assistance and troubleshooting support to students, teachers, and staff regarding hardware, software, classroom technology, and network-related issues.
● Identify technology needs related to teaching, learning, and school operations and coordinate appropriate improvements or upgrades as needed.
● Coordinate and communicate with external IT vendors and service providers when technical assistance or specialized support is required.
● Work closely with the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, administrators, and other members of the leadership team to ensure effective academic operations and technology integration.
● Perform other duties as needed or assigned by the Principal, Vice Principal, or the school, consistent with the responsibilities of academic leadership, curriculum management, educational technology integration, and related technical support.
Qualifications
○ Minimum Requirements
○ Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution of higher education.
○ Native or near-native proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
○ Relevant experience in education, academic administration, curriculum development, educational technology, or a related field.
○ Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional practices, and academic program management.
○ Ability to effectively use educational technology, digital learning platforms, school information systems, and general technology tools.
○ Ability to provide basic troubleshooting and technical support for commonly used hardware, software, and classroom technology.
○ Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
○ Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, students, parents, and external service providers.
○ Preferred
○ Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, or a related field.
○ Possession of a valid teaching or educational leadership certification.
○ Previous experience in an Academic Director, Academic Coordinator, Curriculum Coordinator, or similar academic leadership role.
○ Experience with curriculum development, review, and implementation in an international or American curriculum environment.
○ Demonstrated experience with Understanding by Design (UbD) framework.
○ Experience using and managing educational technology platforms, Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), or other school information systems.
○ Ability to support teachers and staff in integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning.
○ Familiarity with basic IT troubleshooting and coordination with external IT vendors or service providers.
○ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
○ Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean.
○ Alignment with a Christian faith background.
Working Conditions
● Student Type: G4–G11
● Working Hours: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
