Position Overview

Seoul Academy - Daechi is seeking a qualified part-time Debate Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Grade Level: Middle School (Grades 6-8) Sessions: 6 periods per week, 50 minutes per period

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging debate instruction appropriate to middle school grade levels
  • Develop students' argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking skills
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Maintain a structured, positive, and academically focused classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with school administration regarding student progress and classroom matters

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • Native-level or near-native English proficiency
  • Valid F-series visa (F-2, F-4, F-5, F-6) or Korean citizenship (visa sponsorship is not available)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage a classroom independently
  • Clear criminal background check

Preferred:

  • Background or formal training in debate, speech, rhetoric, or a related field
  • Prior experience teaching or coaching debate at the middle or high school level
  • Teaching certification or education background (not required)

Compensation

  • Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Payment issued monthly for sessions completed that month
