Hiring Two Positions: Reading Vitamins Instructor & BT Book Club Instructor (Part-Time, Songdo, Incheon)

Reading Vitamins and BT Book Club are personalized English reading and thinking development programs that help young learners strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, creativity, and self-expression through structured and interactive lessons.

2. Position Overview (Common for Both Programs)

• Positions:

  • (1) Reading Vitamins Instructor

  • (2) BT Book Club Instructor
     

• Type: Part-time, in-person position (Songdo, Incheon)

• Expected Start Date: January 2026 (flexible ±1 month)

• Contract Renewal: 6-month renewable contract based on performance, parent feedback, attendance, and availability

• Probation Period: 1 month (1–2 trial sessions during this period)

• Visa Eligibility:

  • F-series visa holders 

  • E-2 visa holders with written employer permission for extra work
     

• Preferred: Female native English speakers residing near Songdo, Incheon
   

3. Teacher Role & Responsibilities (Common)

• Conduct engaging, student-centered English reading lessons for young learners (ages 5–11)

• Build confidence, comprehension, and vocabulary through interactive discussion

• Guide students with warmth, clarity, and encouragement

• Review student work and ensure understanding through discussion and correction
   

• Complete both:

  • Quantitative evaluation (rubric-based score) : Reading Vitamin 

  • Qualitative evaluation (short written feedback, approx. 5–7 sentences) : Reading Vitamin & BT Book Club

• Study provided materials and Teacher’s Guide (TG) before sessions start

• Communicate with the program coordinator regarding student progress and scheduling

• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistent quality
   

4. Working Conditions & Compensation (Common)

• Workplace: Songdo, Incheon (POSCO Tower 27F)

• Hourly Pay:

  • ₩30,000 per 15-minute Reading Vitamins session 

  • ₩250,000 per 2-hour BT Book Club session

• Tax: The company covers all income tax (teachers receive the full stated amount)

• Payment Date: Last day of each month (based on completed sessions)

• Provided:

  • MacBook for lesson use

  • Parking and light snacks

• Not Provided:

  • Accommodation or meals
     

5. Position Details by Program

 (A) Reading Vitamins Instructor

• Class Type: 1:1 (one-on-one) 

• Student Age: Kindergarten & Lower Elementary

• Teaching Mode: On-site, 1:1 Zoom lessons conducted from the Songdo office
   

• Schedule:
   

  • Evenings (Monday or Friday), 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

  • 15-minute lessons with 5-minute breaks between sessions

  • Arrive 30–40 minutes early for preparation
     

• Monthly Teaching Frequency: 4–5 sessions per month (based on schedule)
   

• Focus Areas:

  • Reading comprehension

  • Vocabulary development

  • Creative and expressive thinking
     

 (B) Beyond Thinking (BT) Book Club Instructor

• Class Type: Small group (up to 5 students per Zoom class)

• Student Age: Elementary (ages 6–10)
  Teaching Mode:  On-site, 1:1 Zoom lessons conducted from the Songdo office

• Schedule:

  • Tuesday or Thursday evenings (not both)

  • 6:30 p.m. – 9:40 p.m.

  • 6:30–7:00 p.m. prep / 7:00–8:00 class / 8:30–9:30 class / 9:30–9:40 feedback

  • Teachers may choose a preferred day; monthly schedule varies
     

• Monthly Teaching Frequency: 3-4 sessions per month

• Focus Areas:

  • Critical & creative thinking through literature

  • Discussion and reflection on reading themes

  • Encouraging analytical and expressive communication
     

6. Evaluation & Renewal Criteria

Contracts and renewals are based on:

• Lesson quality and professionalism

• Parent satisfaction and feedback

• Student engagement and progress

• Attendance and punctuality

• Communication with coordinators

• Consistency in preparation and reporting
   

7. Qualifications

Required:

• Native English speaker (U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, etc.)

• Valid F-series or E-2 visa (with employer permission)

• Currently residing near Songdo, Incheon

• Clear pronunciation, gentle tone, and energetic presence

• Responsible and punctual work attitude
   

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (Education or related field)

• 1–2 years of experience teaching young learners

• Proficiency with Zoom tools and online teaching platforms

• Strong writing skills for student feedback and reports
