Elementary Music Teacher Recruitment

Roles and Responsibilities BC Collegiate Lower Campus is seeking a highly qualified, organized, and professional candidate to serve as a Music teacher, responsible for instructing students in elementary grades. 1. Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons to elementary students (Grades K–6), aligned with school curriculum and musical development goals. - Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages musical expression, appreciation, and participation. - Instruct students in fundamental musical skills, including singing, rhythm, basic music theory, and introduction to various instruments. - Organize and lead school musical performances, such as concerts, assemblies, and special events. - Assess student progress regularly in musical skills and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth. - Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary activities and school-wide projects. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and musical achievements. - Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and departmental meetings. - Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student portfolios/performances. - Lead and manage the School Orchestra Club (Additional compensation for after-school sessions.) 2. Candidate Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music, Music Education, or a related field. - Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably in an international or elementary school setting. - Native proficiency in English - Strong proficiency in playing at least one instrument (e.g., Piano, Guitar) and leading vocal/choral activities. - Strong communication and classroom management skills. - Passion for music education and experience in engaging diverse age groups within an elementary setting. - Flexibility and a collaborative mindset in a multicultural school environment. - Teaching certification or relevant credentials (preferred, but not mandatory) - Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check (Required for visa/employment) 3. Working Conditions - Working hours refer to your required on-site presence; teaching hours refer to the time actively spent delivering instruction or leading activities • Teaching Age Group: Elementary (Grade K - 6) • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. • Teaching Hours: Up to 25 teaching hours per week • Lunch: Provided by the school
