Roles and Responsibilities : BC Collegiate Lower Campus is seeking a highly qualified, organized, and professional candidate to serve as an Art Teacher, responsible for providing engaging and creative visual arts instruction to elementary students (Grades K–6). 1. Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons for elementary students (Grades K–6), aligned with the school curriculum and students’ artistic development goals. - Foster a creative, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression, creativity, and confidence. - Teach fundamental art skills and concepts, including drawing, painting, color theory, design principles, crafts, and various art techniques. - Introduce students to different art styles, artists, cultures, and forms of visual expression. - Organize and prepare student artwork displays, exhibitions, and art-related activities for school events and special occasions. - Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual artistic growth. - Encourage students to explore creativity, develop their own artistic voice, and appreciate diverse forms of art. - Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary activities and school-wide projects. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, participation, and artistic achievements. - Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and departmental meetings. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student portfolios/artwork. 2. Candidate Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field. - Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably in an international or elementary school setting. - Native proficiency in English. - Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check (Required for visa/employment). 3. Working Conditions : Working hours refer to your required on-site presence; teaching hours refer to the time actively spent delivering instruction or leading activities. • Teaching Age Group: Elementary (Grade K - 6) • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. • Teaching Hours: Up to 30 teaching hours per week • Lunch: Provided by the school
