Elementary ELL Teacher 1. About the Role You will lead English language instruction for elementary students (K7-G8) at Lausanne, where most learners arrive with Korean as their first language and a wide range of English proficiency — from emerging to near-fluent. Your work will move each student forward at their level through pull-out support, working in close coordination with homeroom teachers. This is a full-time position with one direct line of accountability: that students leave each year demonstrably more capable in academic English than when they arrived. Responsibilities Teach daily ELL classes grouped by proficiency level (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Grammar) Assess incoming and ongoing student proficiency (MAP or equivalent) and adjust groupings each term Co-plan with homeroom and subject teachers so language objectives align with content learning Communicate progress to parents in clear and accessible terms (translation support available) Contribute to ELL curriculum review, resource selection, and assessment design Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field Valid teaching license or certification Minimum 2 years of classroom experience with elementary and middle school age English learners Native or near-native English fluency Ability to design differentiated instruction based on students’ language proficiency levels Strong understanding of literacy development, including phonics, reading, and writing instruction Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and parents Preferred Qualifications TESOL/TEFL certification or ESL endorsement Experience in international school settings or multicultural environments Conversational Korean (helpful for parent communication; not required) 2. Contract Period 1 year, renewable (Long-term employment available upon mutual agreement) 3. Work Conditions Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 ~ 17:30 (including lunch break) Location: Songdo International City Global Campus, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea 4.
