Job Description

Responsibilities Overview

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons

• Prepare teaching materials ahead of time

• Grade regular homework assignments

• Prepare and create tests and examinations

• Track and report students’ performance dates and give feedback

• Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings

• Follow curriculum to help students learn effectively

• Use the North American textbooks, Reading Street, to help young students learn speaking, reading, writing, and listening

  • Writing-focused native English teachers — comfortable doing detailed, sentence-level correction (their signature "Red Pen" 1:1 feedback), not just conversational or activity-based teaching.
  • Long-term commitment over short-term contracts — E-Spirit explicitly markets its teachers as veterans who've stayed with the academy for years, not one-year rotating hires. They'd be looking for candidates open to a multi-year placement.
  • Patient, detail-oriented teaching style suited to young learners — since the core age group is elementary (grades 1–6), teachers need to guide penmanship, sentence structure, and revision habits with children, not just deliver content.
  • Strong written English and editing ability themselves — since the job centers on reviewing and correcting student essays/compositions, not just speaking practice.
  • Debate coaching skills — ability to run structured argument/discussion practice with kids, building on the writing foundation.
  • Exam-prep / academic instruction experience — for the "입시 전문가 강사진" side, they likely also want instructors who can support students progressing toward middle/high school English tracks, not purely elementary-conversation teachers.
  • Comfortable with a fairly academic, textbook-driven classroom (Reading Street-based), rather than a purely play-based or games-heavy elementary ESL style.
