English Teaching Positions | Daechi-dong, Seoul

Located in the heart of Daechi-dong—Korea's premier education district—HPrep Academy is committed to providing students with an exceptional academic education in English. As an official SAT testing center and SAT preparation academy, we challenge students to excel in critical thinking, academic writing, standardized testing, and university preparation.

Our teachers work closely together in a collaborative, supportive environment where student success is our highest priority. With a team of five to six experienced educators, we provide individualized instruction, prepare students for academic competitions, and help students reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

We are currently hiring for two full-time teaching positions.

Position 1: Elementary English Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English teacher who enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is passionate about helping young learners build strong academic foundations.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging English classes focused on reading, grammar, science, and math grade 4
• Encourage critical thinking through age-appropriate academic activities.
• Provide meaningful feedback on student writing and assignments.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with academic staff.
• Participate in collaborative planning and student support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Minimum 2 years of English teaching experience.
• Strong classroom management skills
• Passion for working with elementary students
• Ability to create a positive, encouraging learning environment

Position 2: Secondary Academic English / AP Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified educator to teach academically motivated middle and high school students preparing for advanced coursework and university admissions.

This position is ideal for teachers with experience in academic English, SAT or TOEFL preparation, AP coursework, or interdisciplinary instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach advanced English courses including Reading, Writing, Literature, and SAT preparation
• Depending on qualifications, teach AP-level or other academic subjects such as Science or Mathematics
• Guide students through analytical writing, critical reading, discussion, and academic research
• Provide detailed feedback and individualized academic support
• Prepare students for standardized testing, competitions, and academic success
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong academic background with experience teaching middle and/or high school students
• Experience teaching SAT, TOEFL, AP courses, or advanced academic English is highly preferred
• Ability to teach additional academic subjects is a significant advantage
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
