2026 GAFL English Summer Camp on IB Curriculum Native English Teacher Recruitment

 

Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages (GAFL) is looking for passionate and creative native English teachers to join our 2026 GAFL English Summer Camp on IB Curriculum for elementary students.

 

1. Location

Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages (GAFL)
30, Gosan-ro 105beon-gil, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea

 

2. Target Students

Elementary School Students (Grades 5–6); to be comfirm

 

3. Teaching Period

6 Days Total

  • July 28 (Tue)

  • July 29 (Wed)

  • July 30 (Thu)

  • July 31 (Fri)

  • August 1(Sat)

  • August 2 (Sun) (Please make sure to confirm that you are required to work on Sunday.)

4. Class Schedule

  • 7 classes per day (starting at 9:15 AM)

  • Each class consists of 45 minutes of teaching and a 15-minute break.

  • Teachers will teach the same lesson content to different groups of students.

  • Student groups may vary in English proficiency levels.

5. Lunch

Lunch will be provided on all teaching days.

Lunch Time: 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM

 

6. Class Subjects

Teachers will be assigned to one of the following subjects:

     1) Position 1

  • Science in English (Teaching materials and lesson plans provided)
    This course is designed around the principles of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Through inquiry-based learning, students will explore scientific concepts, ask questions, conduct investigations, and make real-world connections. Detailed teaching materials and lesson plans will be provided to support classroom instruction.

    2) Position 2

  • Social Studies in English (Teaching materials and lesson plans provided)
    Based on the IB PYP framework, this course encourages students to explore people, cultures, communities, and global issues through inquiry and discussion. Students will develop critical-thinking skills while making meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them. Teaching materials and lesson plans will be provided.

    3) Position 3

  • English Activity Class (Teaching materials and lesson plans provided)
    This interactive class focuses on developing students’ English communication skills through a variety of engaging activities, games, projects, and collaborative tasks. Lessons are designed to encourage active participation, creativity, and confidence in using English. Teaching materials and lesson plans will be provided.

         4) Position 4

  • Talk & Talk (No teaching materials provided)
    This conversation-based class offers teachers the flexibility to design and implement their own lessons and activities. Teachers are encouraged to create engaging speaking opportunities that promote confidence, fluency, and meaningful communication in English.

       5) Position 5

  • Math in English (Teaching materials provided)
    Students will explore mathematical thinking through puzzles, logic challenges, brain teasers, and problem-solving activities rather than traditional calculation-based lessons. Inspired by creative reasoning tasks often featured in critical-thinking and puzzle-solving programs, this class encourages students to develop analytical thinking, collaboration, and multiple approaches to solving complex problems in an engaging and interactive environment.

7. Salary

KRW 450,000 per teaching day

 

8. Qualifications

  • Native English speaker

  • Currently residing in Korea

  • Holder of a valid visa permitting employment in Korea

  • Experience teaching elementary students preferred

  • Interest in inquiry-based learning and the IB educational philosophy preferred
