Job Description
1. Roles and Responsibilities
• Teach kindergarten students speaking, reading, writing, and listening
• Help elementary students improve their English skills through critical reading and writing
• Teach English through fun, creative immersion activities such as singing and arts and crafts.
• Prepare teaching materials ahead of time
• Grade regular homework assignments
• Track and report students’ performance date and give feedback
2. Candidate Qualifications
• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
• F-visa holders
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. Teachers will not teach classes but monitor students
• Teaching Hours: 5 hours per day
• Curriculum and lesson plan provided.
• Teacher Training: Provided
• Teaching Staff: 6 Native English Teachers
Salary
2.8 million KRW per month and up (Negotiable upon education, experience and qualifications)
Benefits
• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance: upon completion of a one-year contract, severance pay which is equal to one month’s salary is paid to the teacher.
• Vacation: 15 days plus National Korean Holidays. All the dates are set by the school.
Housing
Housing Allowance Provided
A 10 million KRW key deposit and a 500,000 KRW monthly housing allowance are provided by the school.
The school will sign the lease and assist teachers in finding housing upon request.
