Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
BC Collegiate Seocho Campus is seeking a highly qualified, organized, and professional candidate to serve as a Middle School Homeroom Teacher, responsible for instructing and guiding students in Grade 6.

 

Responsibilities
: As the school is introducing Grade 6 in its Middle School program, we are looking for someone who will

- Collaborate with the school to develop and implement the curriculum for the four core subjects: English, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
- Teach the four core subjects effectively to Grade 6 middle school students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum and academic goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage individual development.
- Work closely with teachers and staff members to integrate cross-curricular activities and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Actively participate in school events, professional development, and departmental meetings.

 

Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Valid Teaching certification (mandatory)
- Minimum of 3 year teaching experience, preferably in an international or middle school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- Experience with young learners and a passion for fostering their growth in all areas.
- Flexibility and a collaborative mindset in a multicultural school environment.
- Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check

 

Working Conditions
- Working hours refer to your required on-site presence; teaching hours refer to the time actively spent delivering instruction or leading activities
• Teaching Age Group: Middle (Only Grade 6)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: Up to 25 teaching hours per week 
• Lunch: Provided by the school

Salary

Based on a salary scale contingent on years of experience, degrees, certificates and interview

Benefits

• Insured with the 4 National Insurances.
• Severance: upon completion of a one-year contract, severance pay which is equal to one month’s salary is paid to the teacher. (Minimum 1-year contract completed)
• Vacation: Paid vacations include Summer Break (6 weeks), Winter Break (2 weeks), Spring Break (1 week), Lunar New Year Break (1 week), and Chuseok Break (1 week), in addition to Korean national holidays
