Since our opening in December 2020, we have grown rapidly each year, achieving over 2,000% growth in just five years. Therefore, starting in January 2026, we are establishing a second campus dedicated to elementary school students, aspiring to achieve further growth. We are looking for teachers who will grow with our academy at this second campus.

Students known to have the highest academic achievement in Mokdong are distributed across all grade levels. The target grades for this position are elementary school students (Grades 1-6 currently, Grades 3-6 in 2026). Our curriculum is structured to foster English skills, critical thinking, logic, and analytical skills through extensive reading and interaction with the teacher, going beyond merely learning the English language.

3. Job Availability: December 15, 2025

Teaching Subjects: Novel, Writing, Grammar, Non-Fiction Reading

[Novel] For the novel class, the lessons/workbooks are already prepared, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need any prep. We are looking for someone who will delve into the books and build penetrating questions that help students think critically about the book and work with us to update the workbooks as necessary. Students study one novel each month.

[Writing] Beyond simply writing a 5-paragraph essay, instruction should aim to further cultivate logical thinking and critical thinking skills. Teachers should explain why necessary elements are included within each paragraph, what efforts are needed to construct sentences accurately, understand that language is a framework for thought, and be able to discuss and instruct on the latest issues accordingly.

[Grammar] Instruction should not merely involve reading and delivering textbook content; teachers must guide Korean students to actually apply these expressions in their writing and speaking. Teachers should create necessary materials for class as needed and be able to teach the most natural English expression.

[Non-Fiction Reading] You will create vocabulary quizzes, summarize and break down the passage for the students, go through the comprehension questions and critical reading activities. The primary goal of the academic reading class is to help students become active readers and develop sustainable problem-solving skills.

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• Native English Speaker

• Currently residing in Korea

• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 Visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship

• F-visa holders or Korea citizenship

• Being an avid reader as well as having a passion for teaching / proactive work ethic

• Apostilled background check & diploma from a 4-year accredited university

• 'Employment Physical Examination Result' (채용신체검사결과) obtained from a hospital designated by the Ministry of Justice, including the 4-panel drug test.

4. Hiring Process

• All teachers are required to have an in-person interview.

  • Interview Location: 2nd floor, Hyundai World Tower, 77 Mokdongse-ro, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul

• Candidates must submit two pre-graded student essays (with corrections/feedback), and a brief teaching demonstration will be conducted during the interview.

Working Conditions & Benefits

• Working Days: 5 days a week (Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri - Mandatory, Wed/Sat: Scheduled)

• Working Hours: 2 PM - 10 PM (Including a 1-hour break)

• Teaching Hours: Max 25 hours per week

• Salary: 3,200,000 KRW per month (Adjusted internally if housing is required)

• A salary of 3,000,000 KRW will be provided for the three-month trial period.
