Job Description


As a Minerva Baccalaureate Instructor at GIA Micro, the instructor will be responsible for preparing, delivering and supervising students in all the major subjects: English, Social Studies, Science and Math. 

Responsibilities:
• Follow Common Core Curriculum or the Minerva Baccalaureate curriculum provided by the school;
•  Prepare for classes: Form lesson plans; be prepared for inquires the students may have; and be prepared to supervise the students in the classroom;
• Classroom management: establish and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conductive to learning, ensuring student safety, engagement and participation;
• Assessment: Develop appropriate methods for assessing student progress and understanding: weekly or bi-weekly quizzes; unit tests and final exams;
• Extracurricular involvement: participate in school events during the working hours; and
• Parent-teacher conferences: Attend the parent-teacher conference held at the end of every semester or term;

Candidate Qualification:
• Native English Speaker;
• Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a teaching license from an English-speaking country (or South Korea); and

• Must be physically and mentally healthy.

Working Conditions:
• Curriculum: Provided;
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: 30 hours per week; and
• Teaching Training: Provided and paid for (2 weeks).

Salary

Starting from 2.85 million KRW (Negotiable based on experience)

• Airfare: One-way reimbursed for candidates outside of Korea.

Housing

Housing Provided, Housing Allowance Provided

Housing allowance is 600,000 KRW
