Job Description

Saint Paul American Scholars Kinder focuses on natural learning of a small group of students where they become the center of the curriculum. We refrain from having students memorize knowledge; instead, we encourage active participation by providing opportunities to feel and touch things through various activities. The activities include physical activities, arts, science experiments, theme classes, STEM, etc. Students then naturally become problem solvers with excellent English skills. To further improve their English skills, SPAS Kinder runs IRP to familiarize students with reading. Last but not least, students take monthly classes to learn manners and respect to become proud global citizens. 

SPAS Kinder is seeking a qualified and experienced homeroom teacher. 

Responsibilities

• Teach lessons following SPAS K curriculum.

• Teach phonics, pronunciation, and basic reading and writing skills.

• Track and report student performance and provide feedback.

• Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the school.

• Engage students in the learning process actively.

• Acknowledge the needs of both individual students and the entire group. 

Requirements

• Native English Speaker

• Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 

• Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship

• F-visa holders

• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check

• Must be physically and mentally healthy

• Degree in English literature or English education preferred

• Previous teaching experience with younger students are preferred

Working Conditions

• Student Age: 3-5

• Starting Date: Gwanggyo Campus - Aug 2024, Dongtan Campus - Aug 2024 

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (Gwanggyo Campus) 

                            Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. (Dongtan Campus) 

• Workplace Language: English

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience and qualification
