Job Description

 

1, Roles and Responsibilities

 

Gwangmyeong Eastern Language Academy is seeking qualified and professional candidates to teach English to elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and work well with young children, some of whom are just beginning to learn English. A good teacher for this position would be flexible, organized, and has a positive attitude.


You will be responsible for the following: 
• Teach a variety of ESL classes (Speaking, Writing, Listening, Reading) to elementary and middle school students 
• Create a fun and engaging supplementary activities for students
• Grade basic homework assignments and write up report cards each semester on student progress
• Attend weekly staff meetings and seminars

 

2. Candidate Qualifications

 

• Native English Speaker
• Have a minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited institution 
• F4-visa holders or Korean Citizens only 
• Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
• Must be physically and mentally healthy.

• Prefers teachers with teaching experience in Korea. 


3. Working Conditions

 

• Student Type: Elementary & Middle

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:30 - 7:30 P.M. or 2:30 - 8:30 P.M. (Negotiable)

• Class Start Time: 2:30 P.M. or 3:30 P.M. depending on the day

• Class Hour: 55 minutes

• Weekly Class Schedule: 26 classes per week

 

Salary

From 2.7 million KRW (negotiable upon experience)

Paid Time Off: 2 days in the winter, 3 days in the summer
