Vice Principal

Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Vice Principal to join our leadership team for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role works closely with the school’s leadership team to support the academic program, student experience, and overall school operations. The Vice Principal plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the school while contributing to long-term planning and development. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of school life- from academics and student support to events and parent communication. Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership Support curriculum planning and implementation across Elementary and Secondary Help maintain strong instructional practices through lesson plan review and teacher feedback Conduct classroom observations and support ongoing academic development Teacher Support & Collaboration Assist with teacher recruitment, onboarding, and support Work closely with teachers to ensure a positive and productive teaching environment Support day-to-day coordination, scheduling, and staff needs Admissions & Student Experience Support admissions processes including parent interviews and student placement Help welcome and onboard new students and families Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture Student Support Collaborate with the leadership team to address student academic and behavioral needs Participate in parent meetings when needed Help ensure systems are in place to support student well-being School Operations & Events Support planning of the academic calendar, school events, and programs Assist in coordinating field trips, extracurricular programs, and special events Help manage schedules, timetables, and key school processes Parent & Community Communication Communicate with parents through meetings, events, and school updates Support parent engagement opportunities such as PTAs and Parent-Teacher Conferences Help maintain clear and consistent communication across the school General Leadership & Administration Collaborate with the leadership team on school-wide planning and initiatives Support policy implementation and school systems Oversee relationships with selected academic partnerships, external vendors, and programs, serving as the main point of contact Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, school leadership, curriculum, administration, or a related field Significant experience in an educational setting, preferably in an international school environment Demonstrated experience in teaching, academic coordination, student support, school operations, or educational leadership Bilingual fluency in English and Korean Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, students, and school leadership Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, make sound decisions, and follow through with professionalism and discretion Capacity to support both day-to-day school operations and longer-term academic or organizational planning Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in education, school leadership, curriculum, or a related field Direct experience in school leadership, academic coordination, student support, or school operations Experience in an international school setting Experience with parent communication, admissions, scheduling, events, or external partnerships Experience managing teams, programs, or complex organizational systems How to Apply Please send an email directly to hiring@siecentral.org with your resume and a cover letter outlining how your experience, interests, and approach to leadership make you an excellent fit for this role. Chinese Teacher (All Grade Levels)

About the Role We are seeking a passionate, organized, and engaging Chinese Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This position involves teaching Chinese language and culture to students across Elementary, Middle, and High School grade levels, helping students build confidence in communication while fostering curiosity and appreciation for language learning. This role goes beyond language instruction. We are looking for someone who can create an engaging, supportive classroom environment, build meaningful relationships with students, and adapt instruction to meet learners at different developmental and proficiency levels. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to support students’ academic growth and contribute to a positive, student centered school culture. The ideal candidate is flexible, enthusiastic about language education, and committed to helping students grow in their linguistic and intercultural understanding. Primary Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Planning Provide engaging Chinese language instruction to students across Elementary, Middle, and High School grade levels Plan and deliver lessons that support the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese Differentiate instruction to meet varying student proficiency levels, learning styles, and age groups Incorporate cultural learning experiences that deepen students’ understanding of Chinese speaking communities and traditions Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback to support growth Classroom Environment & Student Support Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment Build strong relationships with students and encourage confidence in language learning Support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth through positive classroom practices Communicate with families regarding student progress when appropriate Implement proactive classroom management strategies to foster student engagement and responsibility Collaboration & School Community Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities and school initiatives Contribute to a school culture that values curiosity, kindness, global mindedness, and personal growth Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and occasional school events Use the school’s SIS to manage grades, curriculum tracking, and family communication Minimum Qualifications Prior experience teaching Chinese language in a classroom setting, preferably across multiple age groups Teaching certification or a university degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or a related field Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese A passion for language instruction and working with children and adolescents Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in an international, bilingual, or American curriculum school setting Familiarity with standards based language instruction and differentiated learning approaches Experience supporting students with varying language proficiency levels How to Apply Please reply to this posting or email hiring@siecentral.org with your resume and a cover letter outlining your teaching experience, educational philosophy, and interest in joining our school community.
