About the Role We are seeking a passionate and proactive Elementary School Librarian who will serve as a thoughtful steward of our library and play a key role in fostering a vibrant reading culture among our youngest learners. This is not a passive role—we’re looking for someone who sees the school library as the heart of a literacy-rich environment and is excited to make it a joyful, organized, and inviting place for students and teachers alike. Primary Responsibilities Daily Library Operations Oversee the daily functioning of the library, including shelving and maintaining the collection Use an online library management platform to handle circulation, cataloging, and support student engagement with library resources Keep the library space tidy, engaging, and student-friendly Provide support to students in selecting books that match both their reading level and interests Library Instruction & Literacy Support Lead engaging library classes for lower elementary students Design and implement programs that spark a love of reading Partner with teachers to connect library resources to classroom projects and curriculum Accelerated Reader (AR) and Star Reading Coordination Oversee the Accelerated Reader (AR) and Star Reading (SR) programs, as an integral part of SIE Central's library instruction Handle regular assessments, track results, and encourage goal setting and growth Support students’ reading journeys in both structured and informal ways Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who: Brings energy and initiative to the role—someone who wants to build something, not just maintain it Believes deeply in the power of reading to shape young minds Takes pride in creating a space where students feel inspired, curious, and safe Is comfortable collaborating with teachers and offering support across grade levels Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literature, Library Science, or a related field Experience working in a school library or educational setting Ability to learn to use a library management system as a key component of daily operations and collection oversight Experience using or managing reading assessment platforms, particularly Accelerated Reader (AR) and Star Reading (SR), or a demonstrated ability to learn and implement them effectively Eligibility to Work in Korea Applicants must currently hold one of the following: F-class residency visa Korean citizenship E-2 visa (preferred candidates should already be residing in Korea) How to Apply Please reply to this posting or directly to hiring@siecentral.org with your resume and a cover letter outlining how your experience, interests, and approach to literacy make you an excellent fit for this role. Lower Elementary School Homeroom Teacher

About the Role We are seeking a warm, organized, and dedicated Lower Elementary Homeroom Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This role involves more than just teaching—it’s about building strong relationships with students, supporting their academic and social-emotional growth, and creating a classroom culture where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn. You’ll be working with a collaborative team and using Common Core-aligned resources to plan and deliver engaging instruction across core subjects. The ideal candidate is flexible, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education.
