This full-time role supports young learners in developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills through project-based and student-centered learning. Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Classroom Leadership Teach all core subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) to a Grade 1 class. Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs). Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture rooted in kindness, curiosity, and mutual respect. Integrate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into daily routines and classroom instruction. Assessment & Feedback Use formative and summative assessments to monitor academic and social growth. Provide regular, meaningful feedback to students and parents. Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reports. Approaches to Learning (Aligned with IB PYP Practices) We seek teachers who explicitly develop: Thinking Skills – Encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving.
