Job Description We are seeking a part-time English teacher (F-4, F-2 visa holders or Korean nationals) with at least 1–2 years of English teaching experience. The position is expected to start in late April, with the possibility of an earlier start. THIS POSITION DOES NOT OFFER VISA SPONSORSHIP. Our program emphasizes reading, critical thinking skills, academic writing, and grammar. Job Summary Location: 562 Ilsan-ro, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, 4th floor of Shinilsan Union Shopping Center Start Date: April 27, 2025 (position may start earlier) Working Hours: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 4:00-7:00 (Subject to change) Pay: 25,000 won - 30,000 won per hour, negotiable depending on experience Age Group: Elementary grade 3- 6 Teaching Hours: 6-12 hours/week (more hours may be available throughout the term) Housing: No allowance provided Vacation: No paid vacations provided. We DO have classes on national holidays (red days). However, there are four weeks of unpaid vacation scheduled throughout the year. MUST get the mandatory health check A F-2 or F-4 Visa holder or a Korean national who is bilingual in Korean and English Preference: Bilingual instructor (Education or English major preferred, but not required). Position Overview Teach reading comprehension and academic writing to students from Grade 3 to Grade 6. This specific position will be for the level 1 class and/or prep class. In the prep class, the instructor should be able to explain certain concepts in Korean so students can fully understand them. Class size is limited to a maximum of 10 students. Must thoroughly prep for each class, grade homework assignments and quizzes, and edit writing assignments Must take this position seriously and be friendly with the students May have to briefly speak with parents if they are curious about their child's performance Working Hours Tue/Thu: 4:00 PM-7:00 PM (Subject to change) Approx. 6-12 teaching hours per week (As the term progresses, additional classes and hours may become available.) Start Date April 27, 2026 (subject to change to be earlier) Training and orientation will be given beforehand Since this is a part-time position, there is no housing allowance, insurance, or severance pay, and classes are held on national holidays (red days). However, the academy closes for one week in July and one week in December (both unpaid), as well as one week each during Chuseok and Lunar New Year (both unpaid). In total, there are four weeks of unpaid time off per year.
