**Job Vacancy** Early Grades ESL Teacher (Grade 1 - 5) Description At SIE, students will have a full and balanced education to think globally. SIE uses the Common Core State Standards curriculum and immersive English learning. Students are encouraged to be multilingual, and incorporate Korean culture into their activities. **Job Vacancy** Grades 4-5 ESL Teacher and Grades 1-5 Drama/Social-Emotional Learning Teacher Description At SIE, students will have a full and balanced education to think globally. The Grades 4-5 ESL Teacher and Grades 1-5 Drama/Social-Emotional Learning Teacher teaches the following: • The ESL duties are focused on providing students with scaffolding for their regular ELA classes, working closely with the ELA teachers. This includes previewing the reading assignments and preparing the students with the vocabulary, grammatical knowledge, and basic understanding of the readings, as well as reviewing completed assignments and tests to check for understanding and adjusting the learning accordingly. • The Drama/Social-Emotional Learning utilizes an SEL curriculum to help the students with character education and resilience, working closely with the homeroom teacher. The learning is subject to adjustment based on issues that arise. The drama component is integrated into the class according to student capabilities and needs, connecting to the social-emotional learning topics. Activities may include play-writing, improvisation, role-play, and performance.
