**Job Vacancy** Grade 1, Grade 2 Homeroom (Elementary) Description At SIE, students will have a full and balanced education to think globally. SIE uses the Common Core State Standards curriculum and immersive English learning. Students are encouraged to be multilingual, and incorporate Korean culture into their activities. We aim to help our students grow by providing opportunities and challenges to promote a well-rounded learning experience. Roles and Responsibilities • Have experience with early years education • Plan, prepare and conduct classes at the scheduled times • Record, evaluate and communicate students’ performances in an objective, fair and timely manner • Comply with SIE policies, standards, rules, regulations and procedures of the institution • Model honesty, good social skills, civic responsibility, fairness and ethical conduct • Work collaboratively with SIE administrators and fellow teachers • Participation in SIE events and club activities Qualifications • (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Education • (Preferred) Valid teaching certification/license • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a school setting • Demonstrated ability to teach core subjects like ELA, math, social studies, and science • Residing in Korea • Have an F-type working VISA or Korean citizenship • Be able to be registered as a teacher with the ministry of education Working Conditions • Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. or 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. • Vacation: all national holidays, 4 personal/sick days per year, 2 weeks in winter, 1 week in spring, 4 weeks in summer • Free cafeteria lunch • Four insurances and severance payment • Teaching Age: Grade 1, Grade 2 • Breaks: teach a maximum of 5 out of 7 classes possible in the daily schedule (not including after-school clubs) • Class Size: Approximately 10 - 17 students per class • Teacher Training: Initial Teacher Training and 2 Professional Development Days per year • Teaching Staff: 30+ Teachers
