We are seeking qualified, self-motivated native English-speaking teachers to be a part of our exciting team at both SESAME STREET Learn & Play® Dongtan Center and the new SESAME STREET Learn & Play® Bucheon Center.

Employment Type:

1. Full Time: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

• (flexible combination of wkdays and/or wkends)
• 40-hour workweek in compliance with Employment and Labor policies of the Republic of Korea

2. Part Time: up to 14 hours per week

*Individual work days and/or hours adjustable

 

Salary: Full Time starting at KRW 2.5M *negotiable pending qualifications

Part Time: KRW 18,000 per hour

 

Full-Time Benefits:

1. Paid leave: accumulated 11 days per year + Korean public holidays
2. 4 National Insurances (Health, Pension, Employment, Compensation)
3. Severance Pay - upon completion of a one-year contract
4. Housing or housing subsidy (pending visa)
5. Visa-sponsored staff will be reimbursed return airfare upon completion of the first one-year contract (up to KRW 1,000,000)
6. Overtime & public holidays: 1.5 x hourly pay (both Full-time and Part-time)

 

Qualifications:

A. VISA type: (1) F (Spouse) visa holder

(2) Eligible for E-2 visa sponsorship

*requirement: Citizenship + degree (B.A. or equivalent) from US, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, SA or the Republic of Korea

(3) Returnee Korean citizen (native English-speaking)

 

3. Requirements: Proof of full vaccinations

Passport w/ minimum 6 months to expiry remaining

 

4. Preferred: Degree in education and/or related fields

Experience working with children

Education and/or experience in education, childcare, recreation, and/or 1 or more of our curriculum subjects (art, cooking, science/STEAM, P.E., music, dance)

TEFL, TESOL and/or similar certification

 

Job Description:
SESAME STREET Learn & Play® boasts a unique activity-based curriculum providing children a learning-while-playing environment through activities such as art, cooking, science, sensory, music and dance, all while naturally exposing and familiarizing them with the English language.

The dedicated and passionate teacher should encourage and nurture children to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually thru our various curriculum developed together with expert educators at Sesame Workshop/Sesame Street.

Our approach emphasizes child-led learning, hands-on activities, and individualized instruction.

The teacher should engage children during story-time, ensure and provide a safe learning environment, and manage/organize classroom operations (i.e. supplies, maintenance)

4. Established curriculum developed in partnership with SESAME WORKSHOP/SESAME STREET with freedom to choose and create your own projects and materials. Curriculum’s projects and interactive activities helps students learn English while learning an activity.
