Grade 1-5 Homeroom Teachers - Newton Academy

Job Description Newton Talented Youth Academy in Gangnam, Seoul, is a new International Educational Institute located in Nonhyeon-dong. We offer a rigorous Grade 1-12 American curriculum designed to prepare students for college. Expanding on the success we have seen in the past 2 years of our school, Newton is looking to expand and grow its elementary program and will be hiring additional teachers for core subjects in Grades 1-5. Position Overview: We are looking for dedicated and qualified Elementary School teachers to join our team starting in December 2025. The positions involve teaching a Core Subjects of English, Social Studies, Science and Math. Key Responsibilities: - Teach 20-25 classes per week - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the academic needs of students at varying levels of proficiency. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for students. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student development and academic success. - Participate in school activities and professional development sessions. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in one of the core 4 subjects. Elementary Education, or a related field. - Proven experience in teaching elementary students - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team. Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s Degree in Education or a related field. - Valid teaching license. Additional Information: - Salary: 3.1 – 3.5M Korean Won per month - Start Date: December 2025 - Schedule: Full-time position with up to 25 hours of teaching per week, plus additional duties as required. The workday typically runs from 8:40 AM to 4:40 PM. - Citizenship: Open to applicants from the USA, Korea, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. - Visa Status: We welcome applications from F-visa holders or Korean citizens. E-2s can be considered, but for limited subject areas (English only).
