KAIST Full-time EFL Faculty Opening
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics; Native-like fluency in English; Minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience Hold an E-1 or F-series visa (the selected candidate must change their status if holding a different visa type) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching EFL courses for science and engineering students Experience developing and teaching AI-integrated EFL courses Experience teaching scientific writing Experience developing and teaching CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) courses DUTIES: Teaching 12 hours per week during the spring and fall semesters, along with 2 additional weekly hours for tutoring (or teaching), and 4 weekly office hours. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, serving on committees, and other university-related duties. If teaching obligations are not met during the spring or fall semesters, teaching during the summer or winter will be required without additional pay. SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary: Starting from 3.0 million won/month (before tax), depending on experience. Others: On-campus housing available (employee-paid) and a settlement allowance provided.
