Secondary ELA Teacher Wanted at Gyeonggi Global School (GGS)
Gyeonggi Global School (GGS), located in Ilsan, Goyang-si, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Elementary ESL Teacher for the 2026 academic year. GGS is an international school offering a U.S.-based K–12 curriculum, providing a structured educational environment along with a strong commitment to work-life balance. 1. Roles and Responsibilities • Teach ELA courses including literature, reading, writing, and critical analysis • Guide students in essay writing, literary interpretation, and discussion • Develop lesson plans, unit plans, and assessments • Evaluate student performance and provide detailed feedback • Write report card comments and maintain academic records • Prepare students for academic writing and college-level expectations • Participate in school events and academic programs • (Optional) Lead clubs such as debate, writing, or literature 2. Candidate Qualifications • Native English Speaker • Have a bachelor’s degree in English Literature or a closely related field • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. • Preferred: Experience teaching secondary ELA or literature, international or U.S.-curriculum schools, and/or teaching certification 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Middle & High School (G6 – G12) • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (Regular), Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. (Camp) • Curriculum and lesson plan provided. • Teacher Training: Provided • Class size: 8-12 students per class • Preferred: ESL or elementary teaching experience, International school experience, Teaching certification
