GCIS | Early Years & Primary P.E. Teacher

Through our holistic, play-based, inquiry-based, and project-based curriculum, children explore the world around them, develop strong academic skills, and build character grounded in respect, empathy, and global awareness. Position Details Employment Type: Full-time Working Hours: 07:40–16:40 Location: Dongtan (Hwaseong) Start Date: ASAP/September 2026 Teaching Hours: Maximum of 26 hours per week Compensation & Benefits Elementary Salary: 3.0 KRW and up (negotiable based on education and years of experience) Vacation: 6 weeks (1 week in spring | 3 weeks in summer | 2 weeks in winter) + 2 paid sick days Housing: housing provided or housing allowance of 500,000 KRW Qualifications & Requirements E-2 or F-series visa holder (E-2 visa sponsorship available) Teachers must have a teacher license Bachelor’s degree (3–4 years minimum) At least 2 years of teaching experience Strong classroom management and communication skills Key Responsibilities Develop and implement syllabus, unit plans, rubrics, and weekly lesson plans aligned with GCIS academic standards Assign consistent skill-building activities and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth, participation, and physical development Design assessments, activities, games, and evaluations that foster teamwork, coordination, sportsmanship, healthy habits, and physical fitness Communicate proactively and professionally with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom updates Prepare termly progress reports and report cards in accordance with school expectations and deadlines Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, collaborative planning, and school-wide events Attend Parent–Teacher Conferences and other GCIS community programs to support strong school-family partnerships Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages confidence, teamwork, participation, and active lifestyles Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse developmental, physical, and learning needs of early years and primary students Utilize educational technology, movement-based activities, games, and hands-on learning experiences to enhance physical education instruction Teach foundational and advanced physical education concepts through inquiry-based, project-based, and standards-aligned instruction Promote physical fitness, motor skill development, coordination, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits Ensure safe and effective use of sports equipment, facilities, and physical activity spaces while maintaining proper safety procedures Encourage sportsmanship, respect, resilience, cooperation, and positive social interaction through physical education activities Analyze student participation and performance data to adjust instruction, provide support, and encourage continuous physical development Organize and support school sports activities, performances, wellness initiatives, and community events when required Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum alignment, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, and student success initiatives Application Process To apply, please submit the following materials to hr@gcis.co.kr Personal Introduction (Full Name, Nationality, Current Location, Visa Type, Years in Korea, Teaching Experience, Available start date) Resume (CV) Cover letter-including teaching philosophy, experience, and relevant skills Recent Photo Email Subject: [Your Name] – GCIS P.E.
