Job Description
1. Role and Responsibilities
SIE Central is seeking a warm, organized, and dedicated Lower Elementary Homeroom Teacher to join our vibrant school community. This role involves more than just teaching—it’s about building strong relationships with students, supporting their academic and social-emotional growth, and creating a classroom culture where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
You’ll be working with a collaborative team and using Common Core-aligned resources to plan and deliver engaging instruction across core subjects. The ideal candidate is flexible, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Provide daily instruction in core subjects (e.g., English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science)
• Plan and deliver lessons using Common Core State Standards-aligned materials
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs of students
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive homeroom environment
• Support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral development
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom happenings
• Implement proactive behavior strategies and classroom management techniques
• Help mediate student conflicts and foster positive relationships
• Work closely with colleagues on grade-level planning and student supports
• Contribute to a school culture that values curiosity, kindness, and personal growth
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and occasional school events
• Use the school’s SIS to manage grades, track curriculum, and communicate with families
2. Candidate Qualifications
All candidates must;
• F-visa holders or Koreans with fluent English
• Have a teaching certification or an education-related university degree
• Have a prior experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive attitude and a genuine love for working with young children
3. Working Conditions
• Student Type: Elementary
• Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided.
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Salary
Starting at 2.8 million KRW per month (negotiable based primarily on education and years of experience; there are new-hire payscale guidelines in place).

Housing
Housing Provided, Housing Allowance Provided
Single housing provided or an allowance of 500,000 won monthly will be provided instead.
