2025 Summer English Camp Teacher Wanted

1. Location: Soongsil University, Seoul

2. Position Available: Around 7

3. Basic Qualification

a. A valid passport from one of the following native English-speaking countries; USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa

b. Teachers who are holding the following legal visas in Korea (F2, F4, F5, F6, E1, E2)

* Please indicate your visa type.

※ Teachers who arrived from abroad within 1 week before the opening of the camp are unavailable to apply.

c. Teachers who are holding a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university of among the 7 native English-speaking countries mentioned above.

5. Working Conditions

 □ Schedule

   ⦁ Training Session: 2 days [July 17th(Thur.) ~ July 18th(Fri.)] * Mandatory

   ⦁ Program: 20 days (July 23rd ~ August 19th)

   ※ August 15th(Fri.) is a national holiday in Korea HOWEVER, due to the camp schedule, the classes will be held normally.

 □ Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Mon. - Fri.)

 □ Total Amount Received: differs depending on the Pay Level by Qualification Conditions.

   ⦁ A+ Level: Around KRW 4,300,000 (￦ 4,300,000)

   ⦁ A Level: Around KRW 4,050,000 (￦ 4,050,000)

※ The Total Amount Received mentioned above includes ‘the Evaluation Allowance’ and ‘the

Participation Allowance for one level test’.

※※ Since the participation allowance for one level test is already included in the total amount received, if the teacher is unavailable to participate in one of our level test, the participation allowance for one level test will be deductef from the total amount received.

◆ Level Test Schedule : June 15th(Sun.), June 21st(Sat.), June 22nd(Sun.)

  □ Responsibility

   ⦁ Conduct classes (*Academic + Activity)

   ⦁ Make Lesson Plan and Syllabus

   ⦁ Make Achievement Test Sheet (+ Corrections)

   ⦁ Write Evaluation Reports (+ Corrections)

   ⦁ Correct student’s diary(grammar, spelling errors etc.) and write comments

   ※ Instructions and details will be provided during the training session and the camp.

6. Participants

  a. Elementary Students (Grade 1 ~ 6)

  b. Class size: Around 15 students

7. Required documents

  a. Resume (* your recent picture must be attached / head-shot photo)

* Your resume MUST include your Nationality, Visa Type, Contact Information, Education / Employment History.

  b. Cover letter

[* Only for selected applicants]

  c. Scanned copy of Alien Registration Card (both front & back side)

  d. Scanned copy of Certificate of last degree

  e. Applicants needs submit a proof document of the qualification conditions that they are applicable.

 ※ Example: English teaching experiences more than 2 years in an educational institutions → Certificate of Working Experience  

 * If worked at 2 different places for each a year, you need to submit 2 certificates of working experience issued by each work place.

8. The process

  a. Submit required documents via email only

   ⦁ Submit your documents to the human resource manager at ssucamphr@soongsil.ac.kr

   ⦁ Please indicate which level tests you are available to participate in as well.

b. Applicants selected for interview and teaching demonstration will be notified in due time

※ Interviews will be held through Zoom.
