FT Native English Teacher (BUNDANG)

Hello! We are BKOM Academy, a boutique English kindergarten and elementary academy located in the heart of Bundang right at Jeongja Station with an elementary branch in Daechi, Gangnam. We are currently hiring one FULL-TIME native English teacher for a position at our Jeongja branch starting July 7 2025. Our native teachers operate as kindergarten homeroom teachers in the morning and early afternoon, and teach two to three elementary after-school classes after the kindergarten students head home. As we are a gifted and talented school, both kindergarten and elementary classes are capped at just eight (brilliant) students per class. JOB DESCRIPTION : Kindergarten - 5 kindergarten homeroom classes from 9:40–2:10 - Up to 8 students per class - Co-teacher assistance for class management/all parent communication - NO PREP NECESSARY: all textbooks, workbooks, homework, and other materials provided - Check writing-based homework and spelling tests during class - Communicate with co-teacher for assigning daily homework and academic/disciplinary feedback when necessary - Utilize stars/sticker charts for rewards and discipline - Report cards and comments for each student twice a year - Occasionally contribute questions for quarterly assessment tests Elementary - Teach 2-3 elementary after-school English classes from 2:25–5:10 or 6:00 - Up to 8 students per class, typically far fewer - Schedule varies per day - LITTLE PREP NECESSARY: all textbooks/materials provided - Check homework and/or quizzes during class - Assign and upload homework posting after each class - Create brief vocabulary quizzes about once a week - Create bimonthly assessment test, report card scores and comments for a portion of classes taught TRAINING : Full day of class observation before the July 7 start date REQUIREMENTS : - Native English speaker, Gyopo preferred - 2+ years of formal teaching experience in a school or academy - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university - Apostilled criminal background check, apostilled copy of diploma, and other documents necessary for visa/registration with the Ministry of Education - Outgoing, enthusiastic, patient, and loving - Professional, flexible, strong time-management skills - Must be physically and mentally healthy LOCATION : BKOM Academy - Bundang Campus Gyeonggi-do, Seongnam-si, Bundang-gu, Neuti-ro 16, Jelzone Tower, 1 10F (Jeongja-dong 17-1) 경기 성남시 분당구 느티로 16 젤존타워1 10층 정자동 17-1 *Just a 2-minute walk from Jeongja Station, Exit 5 *Just 20 minutes by Sinbundang Line 신분당선 to Seoul (Gangnam Station) https://naver.me/G0fpf8GX BENEFITS : - Lunch provided (Do not have to eat with students) - Health insurance (4-national insurance) - Paid vacation : 1-week winter + 1-week summer vacation = 10 weekdays + Korean national holidays WORK ENVIRONMENT/PERKS : - Chill environment: no micromanagement, freedom to go outside during lunch and break times - Supportive and understanding bosses open to communication and feedback - Friendly co-teachers - Small class sizes of high-achieving, well-behaved students only - Academically rigorous; students are held to high expectations and not “babied” - Little prep necessary; get off work on time and worry-free - No weekly comments or messaging/consultation with parents - Free food!
