Welcome to BEK Lodge!
Here at Lodge, we are one community divided into two locations - BEK Lodge, and BEK Lodge Garden.
At BEK Lodge Garden, we have a child-centred approach for our pre nursery and nursery students. We focus on nurturing each child's unique qualities in their early years and provide abundant opportunities for them to learn through play, ensuring their holistic growth.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum alongside enquiry-based learning in a free-flow environment to ensure our children access all curriculum areas daily.Throughout their learning journey at Lodge, we primarily focus on the Personal, Social,
and Emotional Development (PSED) of all of our children; as we all know, once they
feel safe and secure, they are ready to learn and explore confidently.

At our campus in Yongsan, Lodge, children start school from Pre-Nursery and graduate in Year 2. BEK Dongtan and Bundang campuses comprise of Early Years (Nursery to Reception) classes and growing Primary (Prep) levels.
Our main aim in Early Years is to help children develop strong foundations in the areas of social and emotional well-being, physical, cognitive and communication development.
Through nurturing, safe and stimulating environments, we help children build strong foundations in these key areas so that they are ready to focus on more complex, abstract, and advanced skills and knowledge during their Primary school years.

Learning is split into three stages: Early Years (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage 1 (Years 1–2), and Key Stage 2 (Years 3–4). The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and the National Curriculum of England (NCE) underpin our curriculum and work in a progressive, layered manner that emphasises the development of skills. As such, each year usually revisits the skills and knowledge from the year before with greater complexity until mastery is achieved.
Learning is cross-curricular, i.e. a Topic can be woven across areas of the curriculum and learning is constructed around this Topic. Children learn more meaningfully through developing an inquiry approach which encourages them to be active learners by questioning, exploring and investigating. This approach helps children to think critically, develop research skills, engage in group activities and discussions, and take some ownership for their own education.
