Welcome to RISE Ilsan Janghang!
We believe that young learners thrive when they’re given the freedom to think, explore, and speak for themselves. Our program is built around this belief—designed to spark curiosity and joy through meaningful, hands-on experiences. By incorporating science experiments, art projects, cooking, games, and real-world adventures like field trips, we give students a chance to learn English through play. Our campus is directly managed by RISE headquarters, which provides administrative support to our staff.

Our Curriculum and Programs
Our curriculum is built on theme-based learning, where each unit invites students to explore big ideas through fun, immersive activities. With every theme, children are encouraged to think, investigate, and express themselves in English.
Our campus also offers the RISE BTR (Book to RISE) reading program, where students read books matched to their reading level and take part in activities like book reports, discussions, and debates.
Our RISE K program emphasizes language development, critical thinking, and creativity by blending structured academic lessons with interactive activities that enhance speaking, reading, writing, listening, and leadership abilities.

Employment

Work Environment & Teacher Expectations
We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers, whether experienced or new, can thrive. Half of our teaching staff is made up of native English speakers from around the world, with many coming from North America. We value the diverse perspectives they bring and encourage all our teachers to infuse energy, creativity, and adaptability into our play-based learning activities, inspiring and engaging young learners. New teachers complete a day of online training, which is followed by on-campus training that covers methodologies and classroom management.
Reasons to Work at RISE Ilsan Madu
- Support and Guidance from Headquarters Offices: RISE provides comprehensive support, including guidance through the hiring, visa process, training, onboarding, and housing assistance, with our team always ready to help teachers manage any obstacles they may face.
- Developed Curriculum and Stress-Free Prep: From fully developed lesson plans to classroom support, we make sure teachers spend less time planning and more time teaching.
- Work-Life Balance: We prioritize teacher wellness with scheduled breaks and time off throughout the year.
- Clean, Modern Campus: Our updated facilities provide a safe space where learning and imagination come to life through play.
Key Considerations
- Our campus is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near Ilsan Cultural Park and is a 5-minute walking distance from Jeongbalsan Station.
- Since our students consist primarily of new, young learners, teachers should make students feel comfortable by being friendly and encouraging open communication.
Hiring Period & Procedure
We are excited to meet teachers who want to grow with us—our hiring typically begins before each semester in March and September, but we also accept applications throughout the year to build our growing team.
All hiring is managed by our RISE Headquarters (HQ) team, led by David Moon, the Head of R&D and Recruiting. After reviewing your application, HQ will conduct an interview to assess your classroom readiness. This recorded interview will be shared with us before we finalize a job offer.
