Location Description

 

 

Hwaseong-si is a city located in the northwest part of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is one of the most rapidly growing cities in the country, with its population increasing by about four times in the last 20 years.

 

The city is particularly known for its development in the Dongtan area, which has become a hub of high-tech industry and innovation.

 

Dongtan is a township in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, South Korea. Dongtan is the home of Dongtan Lake Park, many shops, and restaurants. Dongtan also has the Suseo high-speed railway (SRT) that goes from Suseo station to Jije station. The subway is 52.3 km (32.5 mi) long as the third longest in the world. It also has the longest tunnel for a subway that goes at a speed of 300 km/h (190 mph).

 

Dongtan Lake Park is a well-being space in the city center with wide lawns along the lake, a large picnic area, and a forest. There is a walking path along the container bridge, and you can comfortably enjoy the lake view from various specialized benches. In particular, the splendid large fountain performance Luna Show is considered the main attraction of Dongtan Lake Park.

 

Hwaseong-si is an attractive place for foreign teachers to live, as there are many job opportunities and a vibrant community of young professionals.
