This is Wyatt Institute in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. We teach Kindergarten and Elementary students. We pride ourselves in creating a positive reinforcement work culture, and the management is caring for the teachers. Most of our teachers consider teaching as a long-term career. Location Description

 

Seoul, a bustling megacity with a population of just under 10 million in the main city and 25 million in Gyeonggi province, offers English teachers an exciting and dynamic place to work and live. With a 24-hour culture, the city has an intense work-hard, play-hard vibe, combining traditional and modern elements. Seoul boasts cutting-edge technology and is known for its retail therapy, with Wi-Fi available even in parks. The city also offers ample green spaces, making it an ideal destination for both nature enthusiasts and city lovers. The climate of Seoul can be described as both humid subtropical and humid continental. The summers are hot and humid, while the East Asian monsoon brings its impact on Seoul's weather from June to July. Winters are typically cold and dry, with an average of 28 days of snow per year. The average temperature in January is around 21 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 degrees Celsius), while the average high temperature in August is 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29.5 degrees Celsius).

 

Gangnam-gu, situated on the southern banks of the Han River, borders Songpa-gu to the east, Seocho-gu to the west, Seongdong-gu to the north, and Gyeonggi-do to the south. Role and Responsibilities You will be an English teacher for our Kindergarten students and teach a few elementary classes in the afternoon. Follow the premade curriculum, but also use your creativity and imagination to make the classes more fun and enjoyable for the students. You will be responsible for the following: • Need to create lessons based on the curriculum • Be able to lead and guide reading comprehension lessons • Teach phonics, pronunciation, and basic reading and writing skills • Sing, dance, roleplay, and create art with students • Follow a textbook and syllabus for easy lesson prep • Add your own activities to help students learn better • Meet learning goals and track student improvement • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute • Actively engage students in the learning process. • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group. 2. Candidate Qualifications All candidates must; • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • F-visa holders • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy. 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Kindergarten and Elementary • Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided. • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M., • Teaching Hours: 26 - 30 hours per week 1) Morning time: 7-year-old children (prep classes for entering competitive elementary institutes) 2) Afternoon: Elementary (Grade 1-5) Novel and nonfiction reading classes, followed by discussion, debate, and essay writing • Break Time: 1 hour per day (Hours can vary according to the class schedule) • Lunch: Meal provided by the school • Class Time: 50 minutes per class • Class Size: On average, 8 students per class • Teacher Training: Provided • Teaching Staff: 4 Native English Teachers & 3 Korean Teachers
