Ok-dong is an area in Nam-gu, Ulsan Metropolitan City.  Together with Sinjeong 2-dong, Ok-dong is highly favored as a residential area in Ulsan. This preference stems from its distance from Ulsan's three major industrial complexes (automobile, heavy industry, and petroleum/chemical), the presence of Ulsan Grand Park which offers pleasant air quality, its status as Ulsan's top educational district, convenient urban and intercity transportation links, and the formation of a legal district due to the presence of Ulsan District Court and Ulsan Regional Prosecutors' Office.

One of its most distinctive features is being Ulsan's educational hub, comparable in terms of both quantity and quality of private academies to any other neighborhood nationwide.

Additionally, Ok-dong is home to many schools known for high academic standards, making it one of Ulsan's preferred neighborhoods for education.

Adjacent to Mugeo-dong and Samho-dong, Ok-dong is situated at Ulsan's gateway along the Gyeongbu Expressway, ensuring convenient intercity transportation. Public transport options such as city buses, express buses, and rapid transit buses to Munsu-ro serve Mugoe-dong, Sinjeong-dong, Samsan-dong, and Ulsan Station, making public transportation extremely convenient.

It is home to a concentration of public institutions such as the Ulsan District Court, the Prosecutor's Office, Ulju County Office, the Workers' Youth Welfare Center, the Ulsan Regional Labor Office, the Family Culture Center, and military bases. Additionally, it features large-scale recreational facilities such as Ulsan Grand Park, Munsu Football Stadium, and Sports Park.

As a mixed residential area, 73.5% of Ok-dong is covered by forests. It hosts a concentration of public institutions such as Ulsan District Court, Ulsan Regional Prosecutors' Office, Ulsan Health and Environment Research Institute, Workers' Youth Welfare Center, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Administration Ulsan Branch, Ulsan Veterans Affairs Office, Family Culture Center, and military bases. It also boasts rich leisure facilities within Ulsan Grand Park, including Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium and Ulsan Munsu Baseball Stadium, which is also the second home ground of the Lotte Giants.
