Location Description
Sejong-si is a planned city located in central South Korea. It was established in 2012 and is named after King Sejong the Great, who is known for his contributions to Korean culture and the development of the Korean alphabet.
The city was created as part of a plan to alleviate the overcrowding of Seoul and to promote balanced regional development in the country.
As a result, Sejong-si is the administrative capital of South Korea, with many government offices and agencies located there.
It has a population of approximately 380,000 people and covers an area of about 465 square kilometers.
For foreign teachers, Sejong-si can be an attractive location to work and live due to its modern amenities, quality of life, and relatively affordable housing prices.
