About Us

 

RISE was first established in Korea in 2014. We have since been recognized through our innovation and sincerity of education by many parents. While spending the most important time of their lives at a RISE campus, students are molded into talented and competitive potential global leaders through programs that have not yet been offered by domestic educational institutions until now.

We currently have 6 native English-speaking teachers working at our academy.

 

Programs

 

We offer a premium, subject-based English language, and leadership training program to children 3 to 12 years of age. Our program is based on proven, award-winning content from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), the largest and most established K-12 publisher in the world, with some 200 years of Education History. Our foundational content is used by over 5 million students in US classrooms on a daily basis.

 

Kindergarten:

RISE Kindergarten develops children's overall language development, critical thinking, and creative expression with RISE's unique teaching method and immersive environment.

 

Year 1

You will teach students how to read sentences composed of long vowels and short vowels naturally through topics such as color, fruit, and emotion in perfect sentences. (55% Academic, 25% Fun Activity, 20% Creative Thinking).

 

Year 2

Distinguish between the subject and details of the sentence by reading the sentence naturally. (60% Academic, 20% Fun Activity, 20% Creative Thinking).

 

Year 3

Distinguish between genres and topics by reading stories and writing multiple paragraphs using correct grammar. (60% Academic, 10% Fun Activity, 30% Creative Thinking)

 

Elementary Program:

Students who are starting English for the first time can learn English step by step through the scientifically designed Premier course to get the maximum effect within a given time. Students who have been learning English for a long time take the same course through the Honors program, a class centered on American textbooks. We develop English skills at the same level as native-speaking children of the same age.

 

Premier

This program is for students who are starting to learn English from a basic level.

• Step 1: Learning phonics, vocabulary, and basic sentence structure
• Step 2: Summarizing through text comprehension and description training
• Step 3: Analyze, discuss and discuss the cause of the text

 

Honors

For students who have already been studying English and are able to read, write, and speak.

• Step 1: Summarizing through text comprehension and description training

• Step 2: Analyze, discuss and discuss the cause of the text

• Step 3: Using the STEAM education method to find the hidden meaning of the text and cultivate complex thinking and creativity
• Step 4: Students completely absorb the text in their own way, and lead the discussion with their own point of view

 

Location Description

 

Cheongju is the capital and largest city of North Chungcheong Province in South Korea. Cheongju is a temperate zone, so there are four seasons with cold winters and hot summers. The city is famous for its cultural heritage sites and museums.

Cheongju is one of the top travel places in South Korea. Its numerous and exciting sites offer the best destinations for weekend breaks, holidays, and active and leisurely activities.  Among the places to explore are Sangdang Mountain Fortress, Cheongju Museum, and Jikji Printing Museum.
