Jeongcheol Junior Language Academy is an elementary to high school English educational institution. Under the motto "English is Easy and Fun," we make students easily interested and entertained in English and improve their linguistic competence, creativity, and confidence with various activities that emphasize communication with native instructors.

Founded in 1979, Jeongcheol is a leading representative franchise in Korea that focuses on the revolution English language in various fields.

We currently have 1 native English-speaking teacher working at our academy.

 

Programs

 

We guide the optimal learning path by setting specific and challenging goals, and suggesting learning that suits them. We have 5 different levels for our students.

JC Phonics:

Fun activities and story-oriented education as the first steps in learning English.

JC Prep:

Education to promote creativity and thinking skills through a presentation by watching and learning various situations using animation.

JC Jr. Engine:

Education to acquire background knowledge in various fields such as a subject linked to American textbooks.

JC Pro:

Academic reading, essay writing, discussion, and presentation.

JC Middle School:

Preparation for middle school and mock college entrance exams.

 

Location Description

 

Yangsan is in Gyeongsangnam-do Province of South Korea. With a population just short of 300,000 people and great sights to see, this is another city in South Korea that you should not miss. There are plenty of car rentals that you can avail to see the whole city or go on foot to explore more of the hidden parts.

Tongdosa Temple is one of the highly recommended Buddhist temples in all of South Korea. It is included in Korea’s 3 Jewel Temples and many Buddhists visit Yangsan just to see the Tongdosa Temple. For an amazing view of Yangsan, visit the Yangsan Tower. It is also one of the top spots for those who are on a budget as there is no entrance fee to the tower. Everyone can enjoy the fantastic view from the top. Visit the Yongsan Water Park to see some of the most fantastic fountains and manmade water attractions. This is a nice spot to spend a summer day that both adults and children can enjoy.

1. Role and Responsibilities Jeongchul Junior Language Academy is an elementary and middle school English educational institution. Under the motto "English is Easy and Fun," we make students easily interested and entertained in English and improve their linguistic competence, creativity, and confidence with various activities that emphasize communication with native instructors. You will be responsible for the following: • Teach a variety of ESL classes to elementary and middle school students • Create fun and engaging supplementary activities for students • Grade basic homework assignments and write up report cards each semester on student progress • Attend weekly staff meetings and seminars • Teach phonics, pronunciation, and basic reading and writing skills • Sing, dance, roleplay, and create art with students • Follow a textbook and syllabus for easy lesson prep • Add your own activities to help students learn better • Meet learning goals and track student improvement • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute • Actively engage students in the learning process. • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group. 2. Candidate Qualification • Native English Speaker • Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • Hold an F4 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check • Must be physically and mentally healthy 3. Working Conditions • Student Type: Elementary and Middle School • Curriculum: Curriculum and lesson plans provided • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. • Teaching Hours: 25 classes per week • Class Time: 30 minutes per class • Class Size: 10 students per class •Dinner Hour: 30-minute break after 3 hours of class • Teacher Training: Provided • Teaching Staff: 1 Native English Teachers, 5 Korean Teachers
