Embark on this transformative adventure with us and shape the future, one student at a time. THREE Positions: Full-time class instructor, R&D specialist, & part-time weekend instructor. Position: Full-time Class Instructor; ASAP Schedule: For 5-Day Week Schedule: Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM Maximum of 28 teaching hours per week, but usually starts off at 20 hours per week. For 6-Day Week Schedule: Monday to Saturday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Mon-Fri), 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Sat) Similar teaching hours to the 5-day schedule + Saturday classes. Additional preparation and grading hours as required for both 5-day and 6-day schedules. Key Responsibilities: Plan and conduct engaging lessons in subjects such as English Literature, Essay Writing, novel, reading comprehension, speech writing and presentation skills, grammar, TOEFL Reading & Writing, and vocabulary development for grades 2-6. Set curriculum with freedom to construct engaging lesson plans as long as learning objectives are achieved. Foster a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress. Collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students. Participate in curriculum development sessions to tailor classes to student needs. Who you are: Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or any related field from a 4-year accredited university preferably from a US or UK university. Advanced degrees welcomed. Experience: Prior teaching experience, especially in the Daechi area/Similar Curriculum or with debate education, is highly desirable. Skills: Creative lesson planning skills with the ability to engage students of various ages and proficiency levels. Proficient with Google Classroom, Google (Slides, Docs, Spreadsheet, etc.), Canva, PowerPoint, Word. Qualifications: Must possess an apostilled CBC and a university diploma. Should complete a self-medical health check with clean results. A commitment to stay in Korea for the foreseeable future is desirable. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Compensation: 5-Day Schedule: 3.5 million won (Monday-Friday). Offers 12 paid vacation days. 6-Day Schedule: 4.0 million won for an extended schedule including Saturdays. Offers 14 paid vacation days. Receive severance pay upon completion of contract. Note: Salaries are negotiable based on experience. Benefits: Major national holidays are off 12 paid vacation days (5 day); 14 paid vacation days (6 day) National medical coverage and pension plans (50/50) split. Housing allowance of 500,000KRW. Position: R&D Specialist; ASAP Schedule: Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM Hours can be negotiated (Hours are subject to change based on substituting needs) Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of new educational programs, focusing on debate, language arts, critical thinking, novel, speech, and comprehensive English skills. Conduct research on the latest educational trends, technologies, and methodologies to continuously innovate our curriculum. Collaborate with teaching staff to implement and refine new teaching strategies, ensuring they align with our pedagogical goals. Oversee the testing and evaluation of new curriculum components, analyzing feedback to guide further development. Create workbooks/articles for current events, novels, literature, short stories, vocabulary, vocabulary & novel quizzes. Ensure that they are uniform and aligned with learning objectives. Conduct entrance interviews to assess applicant’s language skills. Regular collaboration with head teacher and administrative staff required. Some teaching hours are required (8-10 hours weekly). Participate in curriculum development sessions to tailor classes to student needs. Who you are: Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or any related field from a 4-year accredited university preferably from a US or UK university. Advanced degrees welcomed. Experience: Prior educational research and/or curriculum development, copyright, journalism & teaching experience, especially in the Daechi area/Similar Curriculum or with debate education, is highly desirable. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate research findings into actionable teaching strategies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and administrative staff. Creativity, initiative, and a commitment to our ethos of continuous improvement and excellence in education. Proficient with Google Classroom, Google (Slides, Docs, Spreadsheet, etc.), Canva, PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Proficient with AI software: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Midjourney, Leonardo AI.
