English Program Leader/Teacher

CHAVEN is an English Kid's Cafe that seeks to be a haven for children in a society that puts a lot of pressure on learning English. At CHAVEN, we give children an opportunity to interact with English in a relaxed and unique learning environment through interactive activities such as art, gym, and music. Our goal is to give children a fun learning experience with a special focus on play and child-led interaction. We are located in the Cheongju Hyundai Department Store, and are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. Those who join our team will help lead mini classes, and spend a lot of time playing with children in both class and free play settings. Outside of leading mini programs and playing with the children, responsibilities include light prep and cleaning during work hours only. Curriculum is provided, and there is no program preparation time required outside of work! (ie. no work to take home with you) A job at CHAVEN is a fresh change of pace from the typical school/hagwon job as we are a kid's cafe and not an educational institution. Therefore, this position can be thought of as a customer service job with a special focus on English and play. Those who apply for this position must love children, as this is a high energy job. Children come through our doors full of excitement and ready to play! We seek to provide an upbeat and fun environment, all while nurturing the little minds that come through our doors.
