Location Description

Our campus is located in Suji-gu of Yongin-si. Yongin is a rapidly growing city located in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. With a population exceeding 1 million, it has become a vibrant and diverse city known for its wide range of tourist attractions.

One of its most notable attractions is Everland, the largest theme park in South Korea, offering thrilling rides, animal exhibits, and captivating shows. Adjacent to Everland is Caribbean Bay, a popular water park featuring various pools and exhilarating water rides.

Yongin also boasts cultural and historical sites, such as the Korean Folk Village, which provides a fascinating glimpse into traditional Korean life through exhibits, performances, and workshops. The city is further enriched by the Yongin Agricultural Theme Park, where visitors can engage in hands-on experiences and activities related to farming and agriculture. The Gyeonggi Provincial Museum is another notable attraction, offering insights into the history and culture of the Gyeonggi Province.

The local community in Yongin is diverse, with a mix of urban and rural areas. It has become a favored destination for young families due to its affordable housing options and high-quality education system. Yongin is also home to several universities, contributing to a lively student population.

Yongin's high population has created ample teaching opportunities and attracted a significant number of foreign teachers. As a result, there are various international restaurants and shops in the area, facilitating an easy transition for foreigners. The local community is renowned for its warm and welcoming nature, making it an ideal place for foreigners to settle in.

While the cost of living in Yongin is generally lower than in Seoul, it can still be relatively expensive compared to other cities in South Korea. Housing prices and rental fees vary depending on the proximity to tourist attractions and transportation hubs. However, more affordable options are available further away from the city center. The cost of food and daily necessities is generally affordable.

Yongin has efficient transportation systems, including the Suin-Bundang Line and Shin-Bundang Line, providing convenient access to other parts of the Seoul metropolitan area. A well-developed bus network and taxi services are also available throughout the city. Many residents own cars, and major highways facilitate travel to other parts of South Korea.

Yongin experiences a humid subtropical climate, characterized by hot and humid summers and cold winters. The city receives a moderate amount of rainfall throughout the year, with the wettest months occurring from June to September.
