Learning Support for a Grade 6 Student

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support a 12-year-old male student with learning difficulty for middle school level English and Math

• It is important to form a 1:1 bond with a student and spend a lot of time with one student, so above all, a warm-hearted, sincere, communicative, and patient instructor is suitable

•  Plan, prepare and conduct regular ESL classes for other elementary ~ middle school students at the scheduled times
•  Record, evaluate and communicate students’ performances in an objective, fair and timely manner
•  Comply with JCS policies, standards, rules, regulations and procedures of the institution
•  Model honesty, good social skills, civic responsibility, fairness and ethical conduct
•  Work collaboratively with JCS administrators and fellow teachers
•  Participation in JCS events and club activities

Working Conditions

• Teaching Age: Grade 6(International age 12) / Grades 1 ~ 8 for regular ESL Classes
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
• Teaching Hours: 25 classes per week (approximately)

• Lunch Hour: 11:55 A.M. - 12:40 P.M.
• Class Hours: 45 minutes per class
• Class Size: 1 for learning support & 5-6 students per regular ESL class
• Teaching Staff: Less than 10 native English-speaking teachers, mostly Korean Teachers
